Someone I work with told me about the Oasis, so when I was in Eureka Springs I stopped in and had a great lunch. The service was super and I will go back again.

This is supposed to be the local place to eat. I must say it was portioned well. The waitress was interactive with my daughter and just delightful. It was crowded but what do you expect. Don't plan on getting your food fast however it is worth the wait. I love it when you can eat the whole meal and not feel sick, thats a good meal! You should try it, you won't be disapointed....BRING CASH!!!!!

For the atmosphere and food, it was great!: To have a wonderful time at Oasis, you have to have the right mindset...why? Because it has a flavor all its own. Its very hard to find, but once there, the food is incredible. We sat and listened to the cook as he told stories about his other jobs while he made our food. It felt like we were in someone's kitchen. The decor wasn't fancy--lots of concert posters and the like--very interesting to see recent history plastered on the walls.

You can only be treated rude by these people if you treat them rudely. Its a small operation and they automatically add gratuity. I happily left another couple bucks on the table--I'm a server and know the difficulties of living off tipped minimum wage when there isn't a lot of traffic at a place.

If you can find it nestled on a stairwell between two buildings, stop in for a bite. Their lunch specials are amazing!
