There is no Whatta Burger in Fort Smith, Arkansas, although I have been to the one in Russellville before, and it is VERY GOOD.
Sometimes the term, "Old-fashioned", has negative connotations, but in the case of Feltner's Whatta Burger, "Old-fashioned" means, "done the RIGHT way!". Fresh ingredients, cooked and assembled, literally right before your eyes, by a friendly, competent, caring staff. I can't say enough about how great this restaurant is. I only get to eat there when business (or occasionally pleasure) take me by or to Russellville, but you can rest assured, if I come anywhere close at lunch or dinner time, I will be eating a Whatta Burger and fries ( I can barely get a 1/2 order down..... a full order of fries is a whole sack!) Without a doubt, my favorite burger place, anywhere! Oh, and by the way, another reviewer mentioned the cleanliness of the restaurant.... let me just say it is absolutely the cleanest hamburger, drive in style, restaurant I have ever seen, all the way from the restrooms (immaculate) to the dining area, to the parking lot! Conglomerates and chains will never match it. A family-owned establishment like Feltner's exudes a sense of pride in its product which is, in turn, instilled in the employees and that equals enjoyment and great value for us as consumers. Can you tell I love this place???
Don't confuse this with the chain in Texas: Feltner's is an Arkansas tradition that needs to be experienced. Great Burgers, huge orders of fries, and inexpensive shakes and drinks. Can you put away a double-double and large fry by yourself? Many have tried and failed. Order your food as you come in the door and drink at the register. Bob's daughter and husband still run the place and are often seen working the grill. Just a great place to go!

The Feltner family does not own the one in Fort Smith. It's part of a bad chain (one in fort smith). nothing at all compared to the one in Russellville which I agree is fantastic! I was a student at AR Tech when it was built and it sure saved me from many bad meals at the college chow hall!!
