Jake's Rib

Large portions, good barbecue, great prices. This restaurant is always busy. Another reviewer noted that it looked cluttered or messy, but that's the way it goes when you run an extremely popular restaurant that could triple its square footage and still be full all the time. The experience at Jake's Rib is big portions in a packed house - a mad house if you will. You can't leave the place hungry - unless you don't order anything...all the food is big food and it is really very good.

Come to Chickasha for Jake's Rib, but come back and go to Roy's BBQ. Roy's is the last of the old time famous Chickasha barbecue joints. Roy's is a family run restaurant and is even smaller and busier than Jake's. Portions are as big as they need to be and the food is very high quality - probably better smoked meat than Jake's, but some say its because the smoker Roy built was made by a troop of barbecue loving elves. Ok, they don't really say that but if you eat there you will believe it anyway.

Two great places in Chickasha for barbecue - you can't go wrong with either one, just don't expect waiters in tuxedos and fancy dining areas. This is some of the best food Oklahoma has to offer and is worth your trip.

Visited this establishment for lunch. Waited a few minutes to be seated. Upon entering the dining, we should have just turned around and left. There was so much clutter, numerous tables with used plates and lots of food debris. When we were seated, the table top was awful with leftover food particles. Staff personnel wiped the table, but had to request to dry the table top. My 'clean' silverware (knife) still had food on it. Food was adequate, not appealing to the eye at all. Will not stop there anymore.

Not sure why anyone in the right mind would drive from OKC to eat at this establishment. Christmas time or not I just don't get all the hype. Is it the extra curly fries you get? I will stop the bashing but as far as barbeque goes this place just didn't impress me at all. I have tried a multitude of barbeque restaraunts and this is near the bottom for me. The food was luke-warm, took forever to get it and not much flavor. Food: C-, Price B, Clealiness B+, will give it an A on staff (they were friendly both times).
