This is hands down my favorite tex-Mex restaurant in Oklahoma and Texas. Great Service and food
Penny Fort Worth, TX
Hands down, Ted's is my favorite tex-mex restaurant in OKC/Edmond! Although it might not be as authentic as other hole-in-the-wall Mexican eateries that I have yet to come across and the atmosphere and ambiance are a bit lacking, the food and service are impeccable!
My minor criticisms are these: the restaurant is always swamped during peak lunch and dinner hours (which isn't Ted's fault by any means but I figured it would be worth noting) and the decor seems to be your typical Mexican-cheesy flair. Why Mexican restaurants choose to litter their walls with trinkets and odds and ends never ceases to amaze me.
Other than that, the service is the BEST service I have ever had. The food is always served either on time or faster than you expected! Poor service is one of my biggest pet peeves and Ted's certainly never disappoints. Anytime I have had a problem with an order such as beans when I asked for double rice, they are prompt to correct the mistake at no additional charge. Kudos to the wait staff for a wonderful dinging experience!
My personal favorite are The World's Best Tacos and the Spinach Enchiladas. There is plenty of variation in the menu for you to find something that will satisfy your Mexican-crave and the prices are modest. I always take the time to fill out the survey that they provide at the end of every meal. One would think that it's annoying but I find it comforting that a restaurant cares enough and actually makes changes FOR the customer. It's always a nice touch when the manager stops by to ask how the food is too!
As you can tell from my glowing review, I highly recommend Ted's. Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think!
Sorry Ted's. No doubt this establishment is popular. But, so is El Chico. What I don't get: how do people continue to visit here after waiting 45 minutes to an hour and then pay $12 to $15 dollars for "mexican" food? Seriously folks, Edmond has real mexican restaurants with the proper price ($8 to $10). Ted's may always win the popularity contest. But, it doesn't stand a chance in the reality contest. So enjoy, but you're gettin' takin'...
