Owners son;
I wouldnt worry about it. Thats the thing with food service, some people love it and some hate it. So what if you lose a customer or two, its normal, Mexican food is something that people either really like or dont like at all, and chances are, the people that say they dont like Casa Soto are ones who dont really like mexican food as a whole. Rated on restaurants I've eaten at across the country, I'd say its a 3 out of 10 on everything over all but rated on Weatherfords Mexican food or even western oklahoma's mexican food, its like a 8 out of 10. I've had much better food but also much worse. Like I say, you shouldnt be worrying about telling these people to shut up because frankly if they've had true mexican food from mexican then they are comparing Casa Soto to those places and thats why they give it a bad rating. Chill.
I have had food from Casa Soto's twice, once I sat in and once I had to-go, and I am sad to say that this another poor excuse for a mexican restaurant in Western Oklahoma. During my time to sit in, the food was average but service was very good. The food was very bland and didn't have the kick of authentic mexican food. The hot sauce was decent but the queso was horrid, it had to have been poured from a can. The chips are very thick and not very good. The second time I ate there I ordered to-go. I called in 3 times because I was hung up on twice. All I ordered was chicken quesadillas. I waited 50 minutes to show up and when I arrived it wasn't done, they were waiting for me to show up to cook it! Outrageous! Then the register lady wouldn't let me pay for my food until I got it. Waiters and waitresses kept asking me "table or booth" when it was clear that I was waiting on a to-go. After another 20 minute wait I finally got the food only to discover how terrible it was. This place is too expensive and not worth the time and money. There is another mexican restaurant in Weatherford that I would suggest and I would suggest you stay away from this place at all costs. This is mexican food done WRONG.
This restaurant suffers in many ways. The Pro's are they are the only Mexican Restaurant in Weatherford to serve liquors and beer. The Con's: They are short on staff and have no real feel for personalizing customer service. When we arrived, there is a sign at the entrance: Wait to be seated: We waited, and waited, and waited.... finally a man showed up and seated us.The same thing happened on checkout, we had to wait for someone to appear.The waiter seemed preoccuppied and did not seem focused on our needs. He filled my husband's sprite glass with water without asking what he was drinking. The food: The taste is not what I would call the best.The chicken and ground beef taste as if it came from a can( not grilled as the menu states). The Salad I ordered said it came with grilled chicken and beef. The chicken and beef were both ground not fresh grilled strips as I expected. If you want a margarita or other alchoholic beverage, then this is the place to go. Otherwise, I think the food at Alfredo's is much better.

Im very happy to see CASA SOTO is still in business, its been around for several years, although i havent been there for a very long time, only because i now reside in San Antonio, I remember it being it very authentic mexican food, and the Soto family were wonderful to all. Casa Soto must be doing something right.
"Rated on restaurants I've eaten at across the country, I'd say its a 3 out of 10 on everything over all " That's why I gave this place one star. I'm not going to rate it compared to western oklahoma mexican food, that's not what these reviews are for.
