User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI love this place! The wait staff is always nice. After my 3rd or 4th time in, the girl new what i wanted! Low prices, the best rasberry ice tea ever. Yummy giant $2 margarita's. You get soup out of a bowl you can eat. Kitchens open til 10. I love the shelly sandwich, with turkey, sour cream, and avacado! Yum!!

A local treasure: Wondering where they got the name? I sure did. A friend told me he asked the owners and they said it was a word play on "buy some 'wiches" (as in "sandwiches"). A bit of a stretch, but you have to admit, it catches your attention. What also will catch your attention is the great sandwiches they serve. My favorite is the C.A.B. - chicken, avocado and bacon. Hoo boy!! Yum!! They have a couple of dozen different types of sandwiches on the menu, plus several different kinds of soup in a bread bowl, salads, and a large selection of beers. But be aware that they are usually pretty busy, especially around lunch and dinnertime, because they are within walking and biking distance of OU so they have a lot of student clientele as well as people who work downtown and repeat customers. The wait staff is usually very attentive unless the place is just a total madhouse, in which case you may have to ask for a drink refill instead of having the waiter bring it automatically. But I would say that is a small price to pay for the excellent food and funky, college-pub ambiance. Give it a try!
