Stedman goes to Cyd's, and you should too!!!: Cyd's. What can one say about Cyd's that hasn't already been said? If you're looking for a place where there are a lot of drinks with umbrellas or fruit in them, you're not going to find that here. But if you're looking for a place where you can enjoy an ice cold beer at 8AM, this is the place for you. Frequented by local residents and employees from nearby Southwest Medical Center looking to relax after a long shift, the ambiance is old school. With a jukebox devoid of boy band selections and two pool tables with just the right amount of wear on the felt, Cyd's is a good place to go anytime. The locals are friendly, the nurses are hot, and the waitstaff is of a generally good disposition. Be sure to leave your American Express Gold cards at home. Cyd firmly believes in the old adage, "In God we trust, all others pay cash." There's no food and no hard core alcohol, but there's always good people and good times!
