I've eaten at the bar and in the restaurant. The first time I ate there was at the bar, so that might explain why the BLT I ordered was the best sandwich I had ever consumed, if you know what I mean. The bacon is thick and peppery and sweet and like candy and I want all the bacon I ever eat for the rest of my life to be this bacon. The sandwich goes great with the IPA! I loved the sandwich so much I made my husband come back with me a couple weeks later and we ate in the dining room downstairs from the bar. Not impressed. The service was poor and our food was bland, overcooked and almost corporate. I'll be more than happy to much and drink at the bar with friends, but probably won't go there just for the food.

We wont be back. Service was terrible! We waited over 5 minutes after being seated, watched our waitress bus 2 other tables, and made eyecontact with 4 other servers before we had to ask someone to take our drink order. The waitress had a negative attitude after that! Plopped our food down without a word and quickly walked off to chat with her 1 other table she had, we asked if they were just spread to thin on staff "No, I'm just busy!". Spoke with the manager just to let him know-thinking he might actually care and appreciate being told how his staff was performing- Nope!- He told us he didnt understand the whole story and could only offer us an a pology... like we were asking for a free meal?! The pizza was good, beer too, too bad because we will specifically tell friends and fam we Do NOT RECCOMEND Belle Isle Brewery.

We walked in and almost walked back out because of the smell. If my husband hadn't had his heart set on a Heffewiesen, we would have. It smelled like a nursing home.
That said, the food wasn't half bad. I had the Hawaii Five-O pizza and it was really, really good. It had pineapple salsa instead of just pineapple. My husband's bacon cheeseburger was good too and came with a ton of okay fries. The beer he ordered (the Heffe) was average. Nothing to write home about. All things considered, this place is okay. I'm not sure how often I would want to go and eat there with the smell, but pizza for takeout would be great!
