Kansas City Blues BBQ

I tried KC BBQ a few times when I found myself on the North Side. I must admit I found the food impressive, the suace was awesome. The service was equally good and the staff was pleasant. When my boss asked for a good BBQ house to cater our company Christmas party, I threw their name out. My boss sent me over to get him some vittle to sample. After our official taste test, It was agreed that we had found our winner. The party went off great and everyone loved the food. Special thanks to KC BBQ. The food was mediocre at best. Brisket was very dry and lacked smoke flavor. Actually tasted more like pot roast than brisket. The ribs were tasty but completely fell apart with no hint of a firm texture. The polish sausage was delightful. The potato salad was impossible to differentiate from mass produced store bought varieties. The bbq beans had an unusual flavor that I couldn't identify and were very good in my opinion. Overall an average score...not impressive enough to rate another visit.

I passed this small building everyday on the way home for 2 years, finally tried it this weekend and was pleasantly suprised. Good food, good selection, and even has a convienent drive thru.
