This was my first visit to Outback. Today is mothers day. I was impressed with the service on such a hectic day. Wait time was estimated to be one hour and 15 minutes. It was 45 minutes. Not bad. However, I have been hearing how great the food was for years from my daughter and her boyfriends, coworkers, television commercials and the like. Well, the food was good, not great. The portions were half as large as I had been led to believe. The blooming onion was burnt and salty. I had intended to use a couple of my rebate credit cards from At&t telephone purchases I had made to pay for the meals, but they were rejected for some reason. I had activated them a few days before. May be these things can be worked out before my next visit. Next time will not be a holiday. Today is 05/10/09

From an Outbacker's perspective...: My family and I have been dining at Outback since I can remember (I'm only 19). There have been just a few times where things have been just a little off, but this is definitely my favorite steakhouse. The variety is perfect. There's something for everyone! I know, because i've had pretty much everything on the menu. I even liked it so much that I wanted to become a part of their amazing family and now I am a server there. But in defense of ALL resteraunts you can't judge the resteraunt on your first visit there, because maybe you just happened to be there on a rough day or there are numerous other reasons why your experience wasn't up to par. Just tonight, I spilled tea in a man's lap. An embarrasing situation, but the rest of their meal went seamless. And this is in response to the other review about how "4 other servers brought us our food." The reason behind this is: We all work as a team to better serve you, the customer. This entails bringing each others food out and refilling drinks or bringing fresh bread and butter, especially since every server is not only tending to ONE table. It's just our way of showing off our teamwork abilities and trying to make and impression on our guests to ensure that this time won't be their last visit to the Outback. So, don't be dismayed by others' first-time visits that didn't go the way they thought it should have. If you haven't been to our resteraunt, you're definitely missing out! Don't forget to tip your servers!! :)
