All of my friends brag about this restaurant and being a Texas boy I decided to see what the fuss was all about. They told me to try the burger but I really wanted a steak so I decided to split a steak and a burger (don't worry, I fasted the whole week just for this day). The place is very country looking inside and the line was about a 10 minute wait. There's a lot of pro-american, anti-liberal sentiment around the store...if you hate the phrase "freedom fries" then you understand. The steak I had was really great and very juicy, they bring out the slab of meat and let you cut how much you want. I will give the steak 5 stars since it comes with fries, soup, salad bar, and beans. The burger...well...it sucked. It had to have been the most overrated piece of food I've ever had. Imagine going to a museum to see a 10,000 year old artifact only to find out it was a bowl. That's how disappointed I was. I will give the burger 2 stars since it was just a flat piece of boring meat. The peach cobbler was decent, I could have done without the ice cream and just left the warm cobbler. I will give it 3 stars for being warm. The worst part about this restaurant is that they don't accept credit or debit cards, just cash. I guess technology has been slow getting to this area of Oklahoma, I bet they think Ronald Reagan is still president.
The service was decent, nothing special but nothing rude. This is a nice place to eat but I would not travel more than an hour to get to Meers, definitely not worth a long haul.
3 stars, average restaurant.

Is it possible to give a negative star? We drove out of our way because we were told that Meers had the best burgers and Steaks in Oklahoma.. I know you should never judge a book by it's cover but in this case you should! The servers were out right hateful , the place was so dirty it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in over 50 years. Okay now to the food. The food was okay but you could get a steak and or burger at any commercial steak house and it taste just as good. Highly advise not to waste your time.

We had heard that Meers was the "best place for burgers" around the area and decided to give it a try. After almost an hour long wait in sweltering heat we were treated horribly. The waitress was rude when we told her how many were in our party, then told us where to sit-did not show us, then hollered at us when we ended up sitting in the wrong place. She was impatient with our children, she messed up our orders as well. The burgers are not all that grand, they are thin but large in circumfrence, they smash the buns and cut them in fours. $7.95 for the meers cheeseburger ONLY, fries are extra. Drinks are a bit pricey with no free refills except on tea and lemonade. They accept CASH ONLY, so beware. Parties 8 and larger they tack on %15 gratuity, and that is probably why the servers are so rude, they are guaranteed a huge tip. The place is filthy, do NOT look up, flies everywhere, and the bathrooms are disgusting.
It's an experience to say the least. I reccommend you NOT drive that far out of your way, keep your cash in your pocket and eat elsewhere.
