Blessings: As a previous pastor of this town, I dealt with individuals in their time of need. Regina and the ladies of this shop were caring and loving as families came to decide on the arrangements for funerals. When the occassion was for a celebration, like a wedding, anniversary or birthday, they added all the special touches that made the individual receiving the bouquet feel like a million dollars. On holidays the entire town was abuzz with anticipation. The flowers, baked goods, candy and novelties made it a day to remember. These women are the best at what they do!
No Need to Apologize.: There is an old saying that comes to mind after reading John's review. It says, poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine. I do not feel you owe John any apology. I myself have used Garden's Edge on multiple occasions including my wedding. I can say with all honesty that I have always been more than happy with the work received. Not to mention, the ladies are some of the most wonderful women I have ever met! They strive everyday to be the very best in their field and accomplish that task abundantly! I should also mention that the cookies are to die for! :)
Keep up the excellent work!
Best Little Flower Shop: Yes, Hennessey DID used to have 2 flower shops. I think the fact that we now only have 1 doesn't make Garden's Edge smug about having no competition, I think it is more of a burden on them because they are the only one to fill ALL of the orders. I helped Rainbows one year on Valentine's Day and it was enough to make me appreciate what these ladies go through on this day. You know that saying, "Don't judge until you've walked a mile in the other person's shoes"? Well, I believe the person with the complaint should try volunteering at Garden's edge on Valentine's Day and then he wouldn't be so judgemental. I agree that if he had thought so much of his little girl, why didn't he think ahead to order the flowers in advance and not wait until the day of? I myself, have gotten busy with work and activities and have forgotten to order things until the last minute for events such as dance recitals, homecoming, etc and these ladies have always come through for me even staying open a little late for me to get there and pick my items up. However, I would NEVER expect a last minute order on V-Day to get pushed ahead of the other people who had their orders in first.
As I said earlier, anyone who thinks these girls don't care should volunteer the day of V-Day and have your eyes opened to what goes on behind the scenes. I'm sure the girls would appreciate the help and you would learn a lesson in the process of what it takes to run a flower shop in a small town.
Hat's off to Donna and Regina! Keep up the good work girls!!!!!!!!!!!!
