My appetizer arrived 40 min. after ordered and was overcooked. Asked for manager and was told that she had left but I could talk to this young man. He said he would take the appetizer off of the bill. Pizza arrived with paper inside of it. Went and told the young man, who tried to write it off as the ticket between the pizza & the tray, which it was not. It was INSIDE the pizza between the crust & topping. However, the young man said he would take care of it on the bill. When the bill arrived the pizza had not been taken off & when asked about it the "manager" suddenly appeared angry, grabbed the pizza in the to go box (which I had never asked for the box, the server said she had been told to bring it to us), yanked the bill up and stormed off. She brought back the bill with the pizza removed & said that I had not been told that it would be taken off, although I had. I paid for the drinks & salad which was 1/2 of the bill. When I was leaving, my daughter said to me that I should ask for the name of the general manager. As we walked down the stairs the "manager" appeared at the top of the stairs & started yelling at me that she was the general manger & owner. She hurried down the stairs SCREAMING at me. Again stating that we had not been told that it would be removed from the bill, although we had. Once again, trying to say that it was a ticket under the pizza, which it was not. It appeared to be a wrapper of some kind INSIDE the pizza. She continued to stand there screaming at me in front of her customers and getting up in my face. She continued her screaming fit and as I was leaving screamed "go to hell". I told her I would see her there. Unfortunately I didn't think fast enough to tell her that I felt like I had already been in hell that night with my experience in "her" restaurant, and that it certainly couldn't be any worse than my experience that night. She stood on the "balcony" area with her employees, cell phone in hand (she told me she was going to call the police) watching me leave. Police? She gave the bad service, lied, chased me screaming and I had paid the bill for the satisfactory part of the meal. She informed me that they have a "great reputation", as she was behaving in this out of control manner in front of customers. Every table around me was complaining to one another because they had waited and hour and a half or more to get their pizza. Several stated that they would never go back. I was not the only customer with a bad experience that night, just the one who was chased and screamed at. People who want to stay in business don't treat their customers this way. They see what they can do to make the experience better and apologize for the mistakes. BAD MANAGEMENT and mediocre food!!!

i recently moved from chicago. if you have ever had chicago style pizza, please refrain from ever trying this pizza (only had deep dish, not commenting on any other menu items). lou malnati's and giordano's both will ship a frozen pizza on dry ice if you want to get the real deal. everything was wrong with this pizza starting with the dish it was served in, moving right in to the worst crust imaginable (should be flakey, not just more dough from a thin crust), and the cheese consistency. to me the sauce did have a hint of flavors from giordano's.

i had mid to low level hopes going in even after reading the owner state he did extensive research in chicago to develop this place.

menu had some nice bits about the city and the atmosphere was nice especially the cta sounds bites. wouldn't mind going to have a couple beers especially if they will increase their selection (hint hint) to watch my chicago bears, cubs, and bulls.

Their Sears Tower is the best pizza ever. It takes awhile to get it but it is so worth the wait. The waiters are always friendly and the salad bar is fresh. And the wait isnt a bad thing, the atmosphere is great and you can actually talk while waiting. And thats a good thing.
