Great food and a great value. Make absolutely sure you save room for dessert. The quality and selection of pies are unmatched anywhere. The Chicken Matza Ball soup and their Pamper Fried dishes are also first rate. Their lunch specials are also excellent. BBQ day and free cinnamon roll day are not to be missed. The owners, Bill and Linda are fine people and service-oriented. It shows in every detail of the restaurant and the people who work there. If you show up for dinner you'll most likely encounter a crowd, but it is worth the wait.
We lived in Claremore fo about 5 months while my husband worked on a power plant. We loved to try alot of the resterants around the area. This is about the best place we have eaten in almost 5 years. We are still talking about it. If we ever get back to that part of the country we will make a point to stop!! The steak we had was so tender and the flavor, OMG!! Their pies are to die for!! Lemon pecan my favorite. I wish we found this place sooner. The service was great and not over priced. The other review must not eat at nice places very often, good food costs money. they should stick to mcy.d's
everything is good: I cannot believe someone had THAT bad of an experience at Hammett House. I think I'm qualified to give a review after having eaten at this restaurant for 25+ years. I'm not going to say everything is absolute perfection every single time I visit, but it sure as the world is not like a previous patron described it! The prime rib special on Saturday night, cannot be matched ANYWHERE for flavor or quantity for the price. The waitstaff is very friendly and the owners make the rounds regularly to make sure everything is to customer satisfaction. The variety of the menu, along with the quality food and service is what keeps me going back. If you want something different, just keep looking on the extensive menu......you'll find it. A huge selection of pies makes a perfect end to a great meal. Hint: the daily specials are a never miss.
