I just want to say I was upset about the staff that is employed at Spaghetti Warehouse town down off of Brady Street. I called on Friday, April 10th, 2009 approximaately around 5:45p.m. to ask if they take reservations already knowing full well they did because my family and I frequently use their establishment to celebrate events in our lives or just go there for good food. However, this particular Friday I called and a young girl answered the phone and I proceeded to ask her if the restaurant took reservations and she told me "yes", so I then told her "Ok I'd like to make reservations for tomorrow" which would've been Saturday, April 11th, 2009 and she told me "Can you hold for a minute?" and I said "Yes, I can". A few seconds later she came back on line and said "Could you call back in about an hour we are busy", and I told her "I perferred to make reservations at that time, that I was leaving my house and didn't know when I'd return and needed to know we would have reservations for Saturday and that they were confirmed so the rest of my family would know for sure we had a place to meet and eat for our special events that we were celebrating". She then told me to hold again. I then literally sat on the phone 7 long minutes!! By then I was pretty upset that I had been placed on hold for all of that time. When someone finally picked up the line all that was said was, "Yes, I am on hold to make reservations." the female voice responded by saying "Yeah, we are busy and I was only going to take reservations to be "Nice" I have people in here that need to get to a show and I need to get them out of here so you will have to call back later." I then proceeded to tell her I was leaving my house and didn't know when I'd return and would feel better if I could please make reservations to let everyone know I had solid plans for Sat. and she said, "We stay open till 11:00 p.m." and asked how many did I have in my party. I said "I approximately 11-17 people" She than said, "We don't take reservations for under 15" I then said, "You mean you can't take 2 seconds to take my reservations?" She said, "No, I have paying customers in here I need to get them out." and before I could say anything else she hung up!! I was so shocked I finally decided to call back after about and hour to find out who I'd talked to and ask for a manager and come to find out the lady I had talked to was a manager!! How rude and obnoxious she was!! I was appalled! My family and I have always had good meals and events at Spaghetti Warehous without a problem but if they are going to employ rude, arrogant staff I will not return with my repeat business. If she had only let me talk she would've known one of the special events which we were celebrating 5 important events in our lives one was that my older son was home on leave from the military!! Needless to say I didnt call back later Friday evening I called somewhere else!!!!!
My family and I (which included a 20 month old child) went to Spaghetti Warehouse for Valentines. This was the worst mistake ever! First, it appeared the hostess sat us at a table no one wanted to wait on. We sat for SEVERAL minutes while other people were being sat all around us, being waited on, had drinks and food, and here we sat, not even being acknowledged. FINALLY the hostess came over and said your waitress is tied up and took our drink order. My husband and I wanted a bottle of wine. She then looked at me and asked what I would like. I guess she thought the wine was just for him. Anyway, as it turned out she could not serve alcohol. She had to get another waiter to being it to us. It was John. Every time we come here, we ask to sit in his section because he is a wonderful waiter. Unfortunately this particular night, his section was full. We pleaded with him to take our order. By now, the baby was really getting crabby and hungry. Itâs a shame that the waitress all around us looked at us, but never stopped to ask if we needed anything. Iâm so disappointed with Spaghetti Warehouse for the poor treatment and service we received. Thank God for John and hopefully he remembered our faces since we go here almost every week to eat salad, bread and drink some wine. Our total bill was $77, and we treated him good. But again, Iâm very disappointed with the rest of the staff, the service and the snub treatment from the other waitress. Shame on you Spaghetti Warehouse for having a staff like this and on Valentines Day no doubt.
