It wasn't what I expect. The chef's were tattooed and pierced. The music was pretty loud. The fish was fresh, but limited. But I would go back if the craving struck me.
This restaurant is the worst Japanese restaurant in Tulsa. The service is bad and the wait is forever even when they are not busy. When we went there, several customers were waiting for their food and were very unhappy with how long it was taking for the food. We sat for a while hoping for someone to take our order. After 30 minutes, they came with our hot tea that was served in a sake cups (this is only use for sake in Japan never seen this anywhere in the United States). At first we thought it was cute until you get tired of pouring your tea in little shot cups. We waited over an hour and we still did not get our basic sushi order (sliced tuna on rice .. how hard can that be). We will never visit this restaurant again and we don't recommend this on anyone. This is really the worst restaurant ever.
I have been to this restaurant several times now and have never been disappointed! It's one of our favorite places to eat; interesting decore, friendly, unique entree's, relaxing atmosphere...couldn't ask for more. One thing I will say is that if you are in a hurry this is NOT the place to eat, it does take time to get your entree, this is NOT a fast food restaurant. Unlike some of the other reviews we did NOT have to wait on our server, she was around often and very nice (we ate at the bar), but it did take a long time to get our actual entree's, but the appetizer was quickly served (crab cakes YUM!) If you like sushi I really recommend giving this place a try...but make sure you have plenty of time and good conversation to enjoy.
