User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI have been eating at this place since I was in grade school, a long time ago. I am in my late thirties now. Great tasting food that honestly blows the chains out of the water. I can not say enough about how great the food is and the ice is the best in town. Not traditional Mexican, but this is the point. My only issues are that the folks that work in there some times seem pretty pissy, good service just not a lot of smiles or warm welcomes! And they are not open on the weekends! Other than that, love it, love it!

I love this place: I know they are only open M-F but this is where the locals go and have gone for 20 some years or more. The have the best drinks and the best ice in town. My favorite is the Sancho with Chili and Cheese. It is like a burrito with lettuce in it. They used to be Taco Grande but when Taco Grande wanted them to change their food they said no and renamed the place to Taco Stop. I also recommend the Taco Salad it is big and the best value if you ask me. I also like the taco burgers and the tostadas. The people who work there are great and the owner a real nice guy. You can call in orders too. Oh one draw back is they don't take credit cards so have some cash on hand. However you can get a good meal for about 6 bucks.

Not bad for what you pay for.: I have lived in Ponca city just a few months when I came across this restuarant, it was closed and it was a Saturday huge dissappointment. Got a chance to come back during the week, the food was good not the best but it was better than Taco Bell. They do not take credit or debit another disappointment because I dont carry cash. On that rare ocassion I put cash in my wallet I will stop in and grab a bite, its a bit out of the way I dont make it a point to go unless I am on that side of town.
