User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsHave not eaten here yet. Recently reopened. Huge pick-up bar, married or single. Very pretty inside, not to many places to sit. The booths they do have are really uncomfortable. you have to sit up pin straight. The crowd is the same 21 to 90, with a fair amount of creeps. The music used to start at 9pm, now it's 10pm. The band last night was pretty bad and the sound is not very good. They moved the music to what used to be the old dining area and the restaurant is in the back. They should have left well enough alone. The place gets packed aroung 11pm, maybe 300 people. Bathroom situation is terrible. There are only two ladies rooms (two toilets for all those people)Not Good!! Drinks prices are ridiculosly expensive. Interesting people watching. No cover which is nice, if there was a cover it would not be worth it. The music used to be good. Hopefully, they can get those bands back. We actually left because the music was so bad. Not good......

I have a couple experiences with Blend, a few times with friends and 3 times for private parties, and one word I can say is unimpressed. I will give Blend an nice interior score, but the bartenders are horrible (slow, snappy and are good at making an $8 cup of ice), the prices are ridiculously high - some upscale NYC are cheaper and you get more alcohol, and the overall experience is all hype.
For any private party planners don't think about having a party here unless you want random people joining your party and wasting the bartender's time making them drinks. One company party the CEO tried to ask if there was anyone preventing random people from coming in, but all he got was blank stares from Blend employees and nothing else was done.
So, once again I wouldn't recommend Blend, but if you do go...drink before hand at The Office, Mac Murphy's, or bring a flask and your pocketbook will thank you.
