My Mother is in the hospital on the third floor and i have to say the nurses treat her so well I would have to give the hospital a 200% rating if possible they have taken care of my mom and i went there they were very kind and so nice!! I wish all hospital`s were like that!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot say enough about the McAlester Regional Hospital, the doctors were very kind and very helpful as were the nurses
This is one of the best Hospitals i have ever seen if not the best, one nurse let my mother talk on her cell phone for a little while to my sister....
my mother is being treated for heart and pneumonia illness`s !!!

Our care couldn't have been better. My husband was admitted and got extremely good care. The nursing staff was wonderful, the Administrator even checked in on us in person. Our doctor was wonderful. I'd certainly stay home and get excellent care rather than drive out of town.
Mcalester Regional Hospital: This is the worst hospital in the world. My father has been in the ICU unit for 2 weeks and has seen 8 different doctors. They overdosed him on pain medicine and we can not get him transferred to a Dallas hospital because noone will say it is medically necessary for Medicare to pay for the transfer. It has been the worst nightmae. Do not go to this hospital.

Let's be honest here. Of course you could have gotten him transferred. He was not a prisoner of the hospital. Evidently you did not care enough about your father to pay for your demanded transfer yourself. The only time Medicare pays for a transfer is when a necessary service is not available at the initial facility. Disgruntled family is not an acceptable reason for Medicare-reimbursed transfer. Doctors will not commit fraud to get you your demands.
