When I first moved in this area everyone was telling me to try Kreb’s famous Italian food, I guess I choose the wrong place. There is nothing special about this place’s food at all. It’s so plain. And WWWAAYYY to EXPENSIVE for what you get! The cheapest plate you can get is like 14.50 and you have to buy that!
I used to really like Pete's Place back in the day but now its all frozen food they have shipped in and they heat itup. They keep building additional rooms to make more rooom for diners but their food is suffering.
I bugged my husband to take me to Pete's Place for 2 years before he finally caved in. Let me say that maybe Pete's place does serve "authentic" italian food, and if they do I guess I don't like "authentic" italian. I like the comercialized food at Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. I am not a picky eater but I do like flavor in my meal. Number one is that there is way too much food, give me a plate of food I can actually eat and charge me less for it. Number two is I have to agree with the poster who commented about the salad, it had too much dressing and was soggy. There was nothing really special about the food at all. Not to mention the very limited menu. You get ravioli and spagetti automatically and then guess what you have to choose from on the menu? Yep, Ravioli and spagett unless you go for steak. Now, on the other hand my husband absolutely LOVED it, which is ironic since he did not want to eat there. Let me say that my husband has very bland taste when it comes to food so it was not real suprising that he would like it. I think it is a place you need to try for yourself. Pete's is like a movie that won a lot of awards but all your friends say it was awful, you tell yourself hey, if it won all those awards it must be good, so you watch it, and find out your friends were right.
