About:Long John Silver's(R) is America's largest quick-service seafood chain with more than 1,200 units worldwide. The concept was developed in 1968 and the first Long John Silver's Fish 'n' Chips opened in 1969. Long John Silver's, whose name was inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's classic Treasure Island, found overwhelming acceptance for this new approach. While the initial restaurants were small wharfside buildings, today's restaurants have updated exteriors that sport a stronger retail identity with bolder colors, accent stripes, illuminated canopies on drive-thrus, and a new roof design.     We took our daughter and grandson for lunch at this restaurant and we were very disappointed. The restaurant was dirty, someone was cutting pvc pipe in the dining room. The food was terrible bad grease for the frying. We ended up tossing our $27.00 lunch and will definitely will not be coming there again in our future visits to Mcalester. Someone needs to check this place out and hire responsible management.

    Good Food. However it was unkept and food all over the floor. No supervision for high school students running the place. Portions have decreased for the french fries and cold slaw making the serving disapointing. Student employees stood around flirting with each other, laughing and talking instead of cleaning up the place. Needs serious supervison.

    This place is always dirty. They use the same grease too long and several times they have messed up my order. The fries are always cold and soggy.
