| About: | A unique twist to the all you care to eat concept, this one revolves solely around meat. Beef, chicken and pork piled on skewers are grilled over an open fire and served fresh to your table. Waiters dressed as Brazilian cowboys rush back and forth between table and kitchen in a frantic, yet friendly pace. The hurried atmosphere seems to lose its anxiety once you are seated. Fogo de Chao is not child friendly. However, there is no child size portioned meal, and the roaming waiters carrying skewers could be hazardous for small, squirmy diners. There is only one option on the menu, which includes salad bar. The main course is as much as you care to eat of roasted meat, cut in front of you while still sizzling. |

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI don't know who this Matt person is who wrote the bad review, but Fogo De Chao was excellent. The service was excellent, and elegant, and the servers were absolutley wonderful! The salad bar was great and had NO bugs anywhere! Maybe this guy and his "life partner" should have gone somewhere that didn't have meat since his partner was a vegan! idiot! Fogo De Chao is awesome! I would go there over and over again!

My girlfriend pressured me to try this place out Valentines Day weekend. I gave in and regret it.
We went for dinner and had two glasses of wine($9.50 each) and Irish coffee (9.00 each).
We had dinner and the ribeye was bad. My filet wrapped in bacon was greasy. Prime rib was fatty too. I just don't like an all meat type dinner like that. The muffins were undercooked and the other bread was no good.
The place is ok, but PRICED WAY TOO MUCH.
The help staff must be driving all those nice cars outside.
The bill for two was $147.50. I left a $30 tip out of guilt.
Total bill about $180. Stay away. It is a rip in my opinon. 
User Rating: 5 out of 5 stars2/7/09 STARTED THE NIGHT WITH A COUPLE OF CAIPIRINHAS WHICH WERE AWESOME, BEST MIXED DRINK IN DALLAS, I THINK, AND MY WIFE LOVED THEM. WE DIDN'T WAIT LONG TO BE SEATED AND THE SERVICE WAS GREAT, WHICH IS HARD TO GET IN DALLAS THESE DAYS. I TRIED ALMOST ALL THE CUTS OF MEAT AND THEY WERE ALL GREAT ESPECIALY THE TOP SIRLOIN AND THE BOTTOM SIRLOIN, THIS STUFF JUST MELTED IN YOUR MOUTH. YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO CHOOSE YOUR OWN CUT OF MEAT AT THE TABLE, RARE, MEDIUM OR WELL DONE....AWESOME! WHO ELSE DOES THAT? GREAT RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE, GREAT SERVICE, GREAT DRINKS AND GREAT FOOD! OH AND MY WIFE LOVED THE DESSERTS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ALL YOU REAL MEAT EATERS!

I had to comment on this - why WOULDN'T you leave a $30 tip on a meal that's almost $150? That's how your server makes a living - and it's not his/her fault if you didn't check the menu price before you went.
I did try to check the prices. I went to their website, and there is no mention of prices. The salad bar is self serve, by the way.
