I attended a wedding here, and our accomadations were great! There was a happy hour, free breakfast, and staff was very friendly. The room was overlooking a baseball field (with a game going on)that my 3 year old enjoyed watching in the evening. There are so many great places to eat and shop in the area. Will go here again. A little high room rate, but it delivers with comfort and service!
Great place to take the family! The area is great, the hotel is great and there is so many fun things to do! We took our young kiddos and they had a blast! The rooms are clean and well decorated. Housekeeping puts little fun touches on things (such as folding washcloths in fun ways) - the kids get such a kick out of stuff like that! The hotel is really beautiful as well. The hotel lobby is decorated in a Hawaiian theme on Fridays, which is fun. The on-sight spa is really fantastic. I highly recommend the massage and facial ~ it is so relaxing! Call ahead though, they seem to get booked up quickly! The pool area is well maintained, but the area seemed to get really rowdy on Saturday night (the hot-tub jets were working fine all week, but broken on Saturday - probably not a coincidence)! Breakfast is really good as well. I should mention that they do not serve pancakes like most Embassy Suites do, but they do have French toast, biscuits, eggs, bacon, fruit, danish, hash browns, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, etc.
When you are ready for a great lunch or dinner, I highly recommend Buca di Beppo restaurant. It is absolutely the best Italian food I have ever eaten. The portions are huge and meant to be shared. You have to order the chocolate cake for dessert - phenomenal. It was so huge that our family of 5 couldn't finish it! Our server was so attentive and accommodating. The decor is fun as well - eclectic and charming. It is located right next to Embassy Suites. We also ate at La Hacienda Ranch. It had a fun atmosphere and good food.
We also visited Adventure Landing. We played miniature golf and drove go-carts. Lots of fun, just try to go when it is not too hot. We went to Fair Park and it was ok. The best part was the IMAX and the paddleboats. The museum was not that great, neither was the Planetarium.
To sum up, I highly recommend this hotel!
Heaven away from home: After a hetic holiday season, I needed a place to kick back so...I 'ran away from home'. The desk attendent was so helpful, providing me with necessities.
The bed is so crisp and heavenly.....and I had the BEST egg, cheese, mushroom, tomatoe omelet ever. I'm drooling just re-calling my experience:)
