Took the family there for a birthday dinner, the "b-day girl" wanted to go. Big mistake was ordering apps as we had no idea how huge the entrees were, guess they have to justify the prices. Food quality wasn't bad and the service was very prompt. I personally would never go there as I despise chains, especially ones that serve huge portions to keep the check avg. up. Funny thing is there was so much food that nobody could finish,let alone have some cheesecake! There were some "big-boned" types that could probably polish off a meal and hit the desserts, not me though.
User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsA 2 hour wait and poor service...: We went to this Cheesecake Factory on February 10, 2007 for a birthday celebration. Generally we go to the location on Northwest Highway near 75. Although the food was great, as usual...the wait was INCREDIBLY long! We had to wait 2 hours just to get a table. After asking several times about the long wait the hostess told us that the table they were planning on sitting us at had been there for 1 hour and that there had just ordered dessert. The hostess then finally came up with the bright idea that they could place several tables together to seat us all. We waited another 20 minutes or so and were finally seated. Our waiter was average at best. Half of the table had to ask repeatedly for water refills. Others had to wait 10 minutes or so for second drinks from the bar. How long does it take to pour a drink, honestly?! We were given a free appetizer of nachos when one of the more assertive members of our party complained, but I was really let down by the overall service and wait time. I would recommend going to the Northwest Highway location instead of Frisco...they still have a long way to go as far as customer service goes.

First of all, That day was a a Saturday. What did you want the staff to do, walk around a tell table they need to leave? If you don't want a long wait, maybe you should celebrate on a less busy day. Maybe the bartender(s) got swamped with to-go orders, or had a bunch of customers show up at the bar all at once, maybe a keg blew out, maybe the service floor was short staffed and the bartender was helping servers who were behind, maybe all of these things happened. Maybe that is why you had to wait a dire ten minutes for drinks. What probably happened is they sat you with a waiter who already had 4-6 tables, because you wouldn't stop complaining about the horrible wait. Therefore, the server probably wasn't able to give you his top notch service. You don't think about all these things though...I hope he applied a gratuity to your bill.
First of all, I would just like to say that I have worked for the cheesecake factory and we are busy EVERYDAY. It is beyond the control of the staff to get you your table "on time". Its a great restaurant, thats why the wait is so long. Secondly, it can take a while to pour a couple drinks...especially if the bartender needs to make drinks for their OWN customers. Its no easy task. The stress on servers is beyond anything you can imagine, and you don't make it any better by nagging and complaining about the 10 minute wait for your drinks.

This place is the best! Try lunchtime during the week or weekends, and you'll probably get right in or wait fewer than 15 min....crusted chicken romano, all the apps, and chesecake rock! service has always been awesome, thanks ...
