BEWARE! This is dangerous! I signed up for organic materials only - and they have been using toxic chemicals at my home and even contaminated the garden that I was using to feed my children! They refuse to take responsibility! It will cost me about $1000 to have my soil tested, and then another $1000 - $2000 for toxic cleanup and rebuilding of my garden - and they refuse to even pay for the testing! They told me to get the tests done and pay for it myself and only THEN will they try to come to a conclusion about reimbursement or any type of responsibility for their huge error! All they offer is half off of the next regular service visit! Even though they admit the error! BEWARE! TOXIC!!!!!
Letter written to HomeTeam Management on 10/10/2010.
Today I received a Service Suspension Notice and threat to have the account turned over to a collection agency. “Despite repeated reminder notices on our part to discuss your past due account, our records indicate that you have still not paid the amount shown at the top of this letter.” Invoice date July 30, 2010.
I handle the finances for my parents at the address for this service. I would like to remind you of the three phone calls I have made to your office and the conversations during those calls. My first call was in mid-June, 2010. I explained to the woman who answered the call that I wanted to discontinue service. My father passed away in May 2009, and we moved my mother into a retirement home the first week in June, 2010. We were selling the house and would no longer need pest control service at this address. This phone call was made a few weeks before the July service you are referring to.
When a service notice was placed on the door in July, I called your office to explain I had called previously to cancel the service. The woman took my message and explained a manager was not available to discuss the issue but would call back. I missed the manager’s return call and he left me a voicemail to please call back. I did call back, but again the manager was unavailable to talk and would call me back. I have no additional voicemail messages from the manager, but I returned the call a third time. Again, no one was available to discuss my issue.
If this July service call were a “returnable item,” I would have done so because I didn’t need the additional service call and in fact, called weeks earlier to cancel any further service calls. I understand you performed a service and under normal circumstances would be due payment. All previous service calls have been paid on time. I’m sorry your office did not record my first call or note the cancellation of our service. However, this is an error on the part of HomeDefense Pest, Inc., and not on the part of your customers.
We have been more than pleased with the service of HomeTeam Pest Defense, Inc. in the past. However, this miscommunication and error on the part of the company has tainted our perspective and opinion of your company and service. Please clear this error and confirm the action by phone or letter.
this company takes pride in there work. My tech is very nice and takes care of my problems. If we any problems in between services they come back out at no charge to me. I highly recommend this company.
