NOW CLOSED .......
This was out first time at Goodhues, and we were looking forward to it because we had heard really good things about this restaurant. Unfortunately, our waitress seemed like she would rather be anywhere except our table. She kept disappearing for extended periods of time, and when she did happen to grace us with her presence she was in a foul mood. My son ordered a small filet and, although it was a tender cut of meat, it was bland and tasteless. The shrimp and grits were average at best. The lamb chops were a bit better, but not nearly worth the $27 that they charged. The blue cheese dressing on the wedge salad was really heavy on the mayonnaise. The best thing on the table was the homemade cinnamon ice cream that the kids had for dessert. It's pretty bad to pay $145 for dinner and still have to stop at Dairy Queen afterward and pisk up a cheeseburger for your son. We will not be returning to Goodhues.
I went there last night for Valentines Day with 2 other couples. I must say the decor of the place was nice and so was the wait staff however I was looking foward to a full menu and recieved a condensed Valentines Day menu. Now I get why places do that . A few items on the menu that they make well however I ordered the 7 ounce filet ad I must say it was the blandest piece of meat Ive ever eaten. Now I am a big guy who couldnt finish 7 ounces of meat! My advice for the future keep the menu open ! I ve had better food at TGIF.
