I had a terrible experience with the service department last week. I have recently bought a nissan altma from another dealership out of town and my speaker broke. So, I brought my car into this dealership and first I was ignored by 3 service men then someone approached me. (This was after 20 minutes had elapsed) I explained to the service man that, this is a brand new car and the speaker would not work. He told me that nothing was wrong with my speaker without ever looking in my car or turning my car on. He told me that I could leave my car there and he might get to it later... still never looking at or in my car. I found this very unprofessional and because I am a woman I was very offended about this situation. I have since then taken my car to another nissan dealership (Not Bankston), they checked the car and told me that my speaker was broken and ordered me a new one.

I bought a new, 2009 Maxima in Jan, so only 4 months old, very cool looking, but apparently the front bumper is lower then most and the first time I parked with a slightly higher curb, it snapped one side of the bumper!!!
It would have been nice for the salesman at Nissan to alerted me of this fact.
It seems even a normal curb is too high! The salemen told me to avoid parking by curbs, unbelieveable.
It should be manufactured to be more flexible.
I had a Lincoln before the Nissan and NEVER had a problem.
I will not ever buy a Nissan AGAIN!

My husband has a 2004 Murano, and we were considering buying a new one, but not anymore, and not from Bankston!

To place blame on a salesperson or dealership because of your lack thorough inspection is just rediculous. Your review is completely off as you said in one line..."It would have been nice for the salesman at Nissan to alerted me of this fact" The 2 lines later you say the sales person told you to avoid parking by curbs. Yes I agree they should inform you as to what is asked..... but if you chose not to look at something as simple as this when you buy a car that is new to you.. I think you would realize this is no ones fault but your own. Bankston has been great for me and when I did have an issue, The GM (Paul Francis) himself rectified it. So next time you want to review something ue better forthought rather than blame your own self neglect on someone who is trying to do their job. Their job is to sell you the car....They will get you the info you need or want! They make a negative comment and they lose the sale! Get over yourself!

Well just bought a car from Bankston Ford (in Frisco), a 2005 Nissan Maxima SLE. Bought it around June 2008 and love the car, around December 2008 start getting some slipping in the transmission, not good. Luckily I got the extended warranty when i purchased the car. Here is where Bankston Nissan comes in the picture. I take it to their service department not because of reviews from this website(kinda scared they're all bad) but because this location was conveniently close to home and work. Well i take it in and long story short found other issues, timing chain and tensioners along with the transmission, needless to say i was looking at 2 weeks min considering we had to work with the warranty company to due the whole process of opening up the car verifying the damage, approving the work, ordering the parts, all in all i did take about 2 weeks and everything worked out. Nissan(Paul B.) kept me up to date when things changed and i'm very happy with the overall service of the service department at Bankston Nissan Lewisville, i would recommend but from what i saw had i not had the warranty i would have paid a $#@# load of dinero.
