I went to Fred's for the first time yesterday and to say the least, it was GREAT!!! I have been all over TX and OK eating where I went, and I ate BBQ all the time. Fred's is on my top 5 list, we had the BBQ Patato that was just out of this world! I also had a pound of baby back ribs that were so good, the meat came off the bone and it is a dry rub not bbq sauce so its not all messy. I recomend this place to anyone that wants some real BBQ! Thank you Fred!!!!
Used to be the best but, now, you take your chances! Last time in, the beans were 'sour'.Not only have the portions of meat gone down and the price went up, but the manager, Leon Brown was extremely rude and made hateful and prejudicial remarks about anyone who rode a motorcycle or wore a dewrag. It never occured to him(or he just didn't care)that the person he was talking to was a cancer patient who had lost their hair and was self-concience about it. I will not only never return, but urge all others to BOYCOTT this establishment. There is enough hatred in the world. We dont need to have to encounter it just to get some average bbq.
this is place was ok, but not as good as otherreviewer has stated. I droeve from Dallas just to be disappointed. the restauratnt is very clean but he food in not worth the drive. I was looking for good barbecue like Tony Roma, or Corkey's in TN. The beef was tender but need more barbecue favor it was more of a boild meat. I do not have a reason to return

you think Tony Roma's barbecue is good then you don't know much about barbecue anyway. Fred's is way better.
