I Hope There Is A Starbucks In Heaven!: I love my Sunday before church relaxing time at Starbuck's. I find myself counting down the days.....
Good for Gourmet Coffee Lovers!: Personally I am a coffee sissy. That is why I love Starbucks. I can go and get my coffee all jacked up and sissyfied with flavors and shots and frou frou extras and still feel good about myself. Never mind that Starbucks is taking over the world and probably an evil corporate empire deep in the heart of the inner most workings of the beast. I don't care!
But that is what makes it so great. If you like strong rich aromatic black coffee they have it. If you like coffee filled with so many sweet syrups and creams and foams that it resembles a birthday cake more than coffee they have that too. Black Coffee, check. White-Chocolate-Carmal-Mocha-Half-Whipped-Half-Cream-Half-Caf-Double-Double-Shot-of-Espesso-with-Steamed Soy-Milk, check. Sandwiches, check. Pastrys, check. Eclecitic yet Friendly staff, check. People Watching, check. Good music, check.
Starbucks usually has great decor and makes for an enjoyable place to sit and listen to fine musical selections, enjoy good coffee or coffee based drinks, eat a slice of Lemon poundcake and people watch. Coffee and people watching out to be an Olympic Sport and I am already in training. Starbucks is my gym.
It is usually quite enough I can sit and read, or write sermons and yet busy enough to provide the slight diversion my mind needs.
If there were a good locally owned place I would go there too. but there isn't! So instead of being bitter I make do.

If you are in the Sherman/Denison area there is a locally owned coffee bar called the Boiler Room. The atmosphere is very nice and the coffee is even better. It is on Lamar Street in Downtown Sherman. -- Check it out!!
