The best place to have breakfast (anytime of the day). We visit mostly on Sundays after church and we can order breakfast or lunch food.
All the servers are greeeeaat! The drink person is always there to refill your cup or glass. And the hostess, Bobbie, is a hoot. She makes it pleasurable and fun to wait in line; as there is usually a line on Sundays. Watch for her paddle of signs; Close the Door , it isn t me that has an accent , But not to worry, the line usually goes fast. And they (Bobby, her sidekick, and other hostess) will make sure you get the type of table and seating arrangement that you desire; as long you are willing to be patient (Bobbie will keep you entertained).
When you order the servers will use hi-tech bluetooth?? to send your order to the kitchen. When your order is ready, it will arrive by what ever server isn t busy at the time; sometime by Richard There is a constant movement of servers, drink people, utensil people, bussers and watch Richard greeting people or clearing tables. He reminds me of a Conductor leading an orchestra.
One thing that could be better (this would rate them a 5-star), the syrup should be heated.
We visited Poor Richards a couple of times with other Familes we often dine with. The last time we were there one of us had a cup of Starbucks (the expensive Coffee) with us. We were informed we would have to discard it in order to dine there. Quite absurd. In any event, onne of the families have ever returned to Poor Richards. It is the little things that make the experience sometimes.
Afternoon, my family and I went there to eat both breakfast and lunch.
The service was acceptable with glasses being left empty once. The food was above average and slim. The reason I write is my 4 kids all ordered cokes. My 2 year old got a dixie cup size coke and was charged
the same as the others, $2. When I asked why so much, the staff replied, "we give refills." I stated you people were nuts. Once again staff
releplied even more stupidly, "would you like me to refill that." In these
changing times, it is one thing to scrimp on portions but charge customers $.30 an ounce for coke. Poor Richard's is obviously poor and trying to stick it everyone they can. Shame.
Any complaint you start with "I gave my 2 year old Coke" is completely invalid. You don't give toddlers soda, talk to ANY Pediatrican. They barely want you giving them juice.
2 year olds can have coke too, what's the big deal. And I have to agree with Heather this is so stupid, soda is so cheap.I went to eat there once and they wanted to charge me twice for my coffee because I wanted it in a to go cup, are you kidding me? They said it was because the cup is big, and I asked the waitress "don't you give free refills anyways?" and she said "yes" so I dind't get it, if they give free refills on coffee why do you want to charge twice for it only because it's in a to go cup that is a medium size, makes no sense! shame on poor richards.
