One of the top meals in Dallas. For an appetizer we had the Crab Cake and the Steak Tartar. Both were fantastic and are highly recommended. Next we had the Old Warsaw Salad and Greek salad. Very light salad that is a must for Feta cheese lovers and for anyone interested in venturing outside the realm of lettuce. On special that night was a Foie Gra. Again, fabulous. Finally, for the main course we had quail with Sautéed Mushrooms and Muscat Wine. We shared the Scottish Salmon which was served with crawfish, mushrooms and capers, sitting atop rice and green beans. As Steve would say, the quail was "divine" and it was definitely my favorite dish of the night. Overall, Old Warsaw serves up food beyond your expectations, which is exactly what you expect from a top-notch Uptown Dallas restaurant. Will definitely return to share this place with friends and family and try more of the items on the menu.
We had such a wonderful dining experience with you last night! The lamb was "to die for"--simply the best we have eaten anywhere! The service was attentive and the courses were well-paced, all adding up to a very special evening.
We went last week, because they were offering their version of Restaurant Week (3 course meal for $35).
We got there, and the waiter said no, that was last week only. We said the website showed it was still running; he said NO, it's not - you're mistaken. We went ahead and ordered from their prix fixe menu.
Thursday, I went online and printed the Restaurant Weeks menu - it ran thru Aug. 28. I called the manager - he told me "No. We took this week off. The website did NOT say that". I said I would be happy to fax/email him the screen capture, to which he responded "Well, WE knew we weren't doing it this week - I don't care WHAT the website said."
Very, very rude - we will NOT be going back. The food isn't worth the prices, and the customer service is very poor. Dine at your own risk!
