| About: | Prego Pasta House has wonderful authentic Italian fare, all of the sauces are made from scratch using family recipes passed down through many generations. The service is personalized and efficient. White tablecloths and napkins add a touch of elegance to the dining area. The exterior of the restaurant looks like an Italian bistro with green striped canopies and spacious windows facing the street. Italian fare is definitely the specialty, but there are plenty of other seafood, steak and chicken options on the menu. Try the crab claws or the shrimp scampi. The fully stocked bar offers Bellinis and Brandy Alexanders among other specialty drinks. |

GREAT. Best Pizza in Dallas (a thin crust). Just the right size dining room...tablecloths...very personal service.
Had a veal cutlet for lunch, with a salad and two vegetables. House salad was old style Italian with black and green olives, light and tasteful. The veal cutlet was excellent with cream gravy, reminded me of the veal cutlet's I would eat back in the 60's. The sauteed spinach and carrots did not need any additional seasonings, excellent in their garlic and butter sauce. Hot rolls to slather your cream gravy in to finish the meal. The other locations at Preston and Forest and Toll Road and Trinity Mills are just as good as the original location, they follow Mama Barraco's recipes, as they should since they are owned by her sons.
Real Italian food with great atmosphere. The veal marsala was excellent. Shrimp scampi is to die for and they had the best cheesecake selection in town. Would definitely go there again. Affordable.
