| About: | Tony's is a boutique wine warehouse and restaurant. Hidden amidst the rows of bottles are candlelit tables, perfect for an intimate dinner. The menu is simple and eclectic, with surprising delights such as their tortilla-crusted tilapia, served with a mango relish and Mexican-style risotto. Dinner service begins at 5:30p. They have a notable wine list but if by some chance they don't have what you're looking for, simply ask and they'll special order it for you. Visit the website for details on wine tastings. |

I my opinion a waste of time and lots of money. The wait staff was slow and not attentive, the food was horrible, and the wine was not even wine!
I want to get the most value and quality for my dollar in these economic slow times. I have been here in the past and the food was not bad. Last night the food was not edible, the potatoes were mashed with the skin left on and tasted like instant potatoes with garlic powder added for flavor. The sauce on my pork tasted lie it came out of a soup can. And every wine served at the tasting was not drinkable, with several of the reds tasting like vinegar!
The person educating us about the wines did not know anything about wine, and was not even a good salesman.
I will never go there again! Don't waste your money or time, this is a scam!
severe rip off - they give charities wine tasting parties with the hopes of luring you in and then selling you " discounted " wine if you buy a case. The "discounted" price is like twice what you should pay in a store. WATCH OUT
Okay if you know nothing of wine and you don't mind being held prisoner then go do a wine tasting here. This was terrible. I went with a group of 30+ friends and Tony's turned it into something comparable to a defensive driving class. Instead of letting people learn and discover while they talked and mingled we were held captive at cafeteria tables and the speaker (who I found arrogant and not that well educated about wine) kept shushing us and interupting. Tony's could care less about our "wine experience". All they seemed to care about was how much were you buying at the end. It was stuffy and crampt. Want a good wine tasting go to Cru at West Village or Legacy up in Frisco.

This seems to be the most consistent thing heard about Tony's...wine is over-priced. Seen this same story multiple times all the way back to 2005...guess the truth hurts.
