User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI definitely loved the saturday night I went. Overall very nice because I truly love spoken word. On another note I even ran into an old acquaintance! Thank you so much for an enjoyable evening! The food is WONDERFUL just like my Louisiana home! We will be returning to the spot!

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI went to Sankofas for my birthday. I had a bit of trouble getting my reserved tables section but the wait staff was very apologetic and prompt. This club is truly Dallas's Best Kept Secret. The drinks are strong and very good the live band was awesome the lead singer has talent. I really enjoyed myself and my entire party did as well. I will definitely come back.

If you really are affiliated with this restaurant, you have discouraged any new patrons from coming there. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion free of unnecessary, nasty criticism.
Wow. i was going to go there tonight for a first date. But considering the above comment I guess I'll go somewhere else. When you're a business owner (i am too) you learn to take the good criticisms with the bad. Guess what? I ate there too and it isn't very good food! But I liked the atmosphere. So now 2 idiots think it's bad. Good luck getting business in an area that's already having problems. I live in Deep Ellum and you've lost mine.
