It's a great little hideaway in Expo Park - right across from the State Fair grounds and around the corner from artsy Exposition Avenue. You can do your laundry, watch a game, and enjoy cheaply priced tap beer (75 cents during "Liquid Lunch" & $1.50 - $2.50 depending on days & times). Bartender Hank (formerly of Pump'n Ethyl, the Fed-Ups, and more - including occasional sit-ins with the Necro-Tonz) makes one WICKED margarite - it's fondly known as the "Hankarita." Jimmy is a charming, funny, ladies' man of a bartender, also not to be missed. There's a full laundromat in back, as well as a fine air hockey table, video games, pinball, and a pool table in the bar area. Out back is a great patio, and they have barbecues every Sunday (and some other times as well!). The food on Sunday, the drinks, atmosphere and the regulars are all fantastic. It can be a bit rough around the edges, so delicate flowers should steer clear. Get a Hankarita Mon. - Wed. from noon to 9pm, and Saturdays from 9pm to close! Jimmy's on weekday evenings.
