I ordered a cake the same day it was ready great place love the cake. The people were so helpful my first time there. Great place I would recommend this place to everyone. Now I will be ordering my cakes at HENKS from now on.
You can't beat Henk's. I started going there, I guess around 1993 and loved their food. Then my son was born in 95 and started taking him there, then my daughter came in 98 and the same for her. We just love going there. Everytime, unlike most places, you are made to feel right at home. many times Henk would be sitting at the counter and he would always get up and walk around greeting and talking to everyone. He made the kids and me feel right at home. after the food, we would go to the bakery side and load up on some of the best items you could get anywhere. once when my family and I were heading to South Padre, Henks was the first attraction before we headed south. I have now moved to Ft worth and don't get to go there much anymore, but tomorrow my son turns 14 and as always, he requested a "Black Forest Cake" and guess where the best one in the world is made?
Henks..
Go there if you have never been. Get greeted as you would in germany, eat as you were in germany and join in with all the other smiles you will see there.
Better learn some german though. Ok maybe not. But come hungry and leave full and happy.
Thanks Henk.

This is a deli review only.
Unlike Kuby's this place has a more reasonable pricing. Deli selection is narrower tho. This store feels more like candy shop, the meats donât look too fresh and are not many to choose from. The baked goods are stale and hard to touch, selection very narrow.
Will not come here again.
