Wow, according to every review, this place earns all stars available and must be off the charts more great than any restaurant ever. This is the danger of rating everything the Best Ever: pretty soon, it doesn't mean anything and no one can trust it to be a real rating.
I've eaten at this place several times and the steaks are pretty good. But is it so amazing that it deserves 5 stars? No.
The waitresses are pretty efficient and friendly and the place is usually tidy. Since the kitchen is hidden away, I have no idea if it's as clean as it should be. Eating anywhere in this area is an act of bravery or foolishness. Let's just say that they think that if you can't see it, it can't hurt you.
But the steaks are tasty. The last three times I've been there, they do not have the filet mignon. I think they need to take it off the menu.
They serve frog legs and alligator. I have no idea if these local meat sources are tasty, clean or safe to eat. So, if you're used to eating them regularly from around here, then you know what to expect.
The decor is studiously local home grown rural out back rustic. Putting a roll of brown, bathroom grade paper towel on a spindle in the middle of the table is their way of saying we're not snobs. While that is reassuring to the locals, it doesn't attract tourists or newcomers. Most people want flavorful, reliable, cleanly handled food with friendly, competent service.
I'd say give it a try if you are a steak person. But keep your expectations to the flavor of the steak only, and you'll be fine.

The Cajun kicks: This place has the ambiance you would expect in Dallas. Great Ribeye and the dance club is far more than I ever expected. The Del Rio Band was keeping everyone on their feet. Omaha and CCS has it going on!
