User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI've only eaten at Bernard's twice, but both times the food and the wait staff were excellent. There is no doubt that you'd better like fish when you eat here--because that's what the "Mediterranean" means! However, I usually order a steak, and it is always cooked exactly to order! I'm guessing their staff is very well trained. I'm not a fan of fish--but this restraunt has a very attentative staff, great food, and a warm experience. I recommend it, and it is the only restraunt in all of Tyler I'm rating with 5 stars.

I always enjoy Bernards, from the atmosphere to tyhe wonderful food. The soups are always scrumptious, and their specials are always delicious. You can hardly go wrong on any order.

After an only decent meal that you could get anywhere, i found a metal shaving in my food. The waiter did a good job, but no manager came to the table to apologize. I have worked at several restaurants in my life and know the basics of the restaurant business. This is a terribly managed place with a pretencious owner.

Obviously, you have never met the owner. He has the upmost respect for any and everyone. Had you bothered to ask to speak with him about the matter, he would have taken care of the bill without batting an eyelash. Furthermore, others might find it "pretencious" when people just want a free meal... That is what you are suggesting.. correct?
