    I can't believe they closed! I was just there the day before Thanksgiving to pick up my (always) delicious pumpkin pie. I've been eating their food for decades: quiche, shepard's pie, enchiladas, various dessert pies, red velvet cake, coffee cake -- just to name some of it. It was all so good! I don't think there is a bakery anywhere nearby that has all of those things. It was wonderful, one-stop shopping. They will truly be missed!

    You don't stay in business for 30 years without being good but alas they have gone out of business. My wife went by for red velvet cake only to find that they have closed the doors. Check out the Cooper Street Bakery. The owner is former Red Oven.

    I was shocked to hear this news. I grew up in that area of Arlington and me and my family were patrons ever since it opened. I was there around Thanksgiving and never had a clue that this would happen. It always seemed busy to me...plus they were only open Tuesday - Sat. It was a great bakery/kitchen. I was thinking just last month how they needed a web presence...maybe if Mark had gone 'viral' with his marketing...he may have stayed open...or maybe they were just ready to retire or something. Sad to see an ole neighborhood 'friend' go.

    I have to WHOLEHEARTEDLY DISSAGREE. The red velvet cake was very disappointing! DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE. If you think that this is the best red velvet cake then you must not have had good red velvet cake before and your standards are very low! It was dry and cold- not moist or rich at all. Lacking taste and just awful! I am but one person but even everyone else at my job felt the same that it was sub par and drastically over-rated! I will not be returning!

    Perhaps the quality slipped as the end approached. They are now closed. I've been eating their cakes for 30 years and they were wonderful. I very much hate to see them go.
