You'll note the positive review is desperate to trash talk every other restaurant and ignore all the problems the other people had with this one.
Maybe it's one of the employees/managers that just wants your money. Hell, he's even asking for you to TIP.
DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE.
As person who eats out a lot just like everyone else here, I am very upset and displease with all the comments that previous people had write. Its unbelievable how people actually waste their valueable life time to sit a write unpleasant comments about a small restaurant like this one. As a regular who had eaten at Hibachi 97 for more or less over five years, I am ABSOLUTELY SATISFY with the customer service and especially the food at this place. ALWAYS! Of course, it is not the most fancy and gorgeous looking like others Japanese restaurant in the area like Nagoya or Piranha. However, if you complain about the food being overprice, have you ever consider how much more you have to pay if you eat out at those other places? Based on my understanding, Hibachi dinner has a specific price range, so doesn't matter which hibachi restaurants you go to, chances are you will probably have to pay around the same amount for the same particular food you order. Sometimes, if the restaurant is fancy enough, you will probably end up paying more for the meal than you expected. The reason why hibachi dinner is so pricey is because the material, the food they use have to be always fresh and new. Not only that, have you ever consider that fact that they have to cook in front of you? And if you really had eaten at this restaurant, you should probably know that the food portion at this place is EXTREMELY HUGE compare to all the other places.
Not only that, their service is so AWESOME! They have the most friendly waitresses and BEST service ever unlike all the other Japansese or Asian places. I've been to Benni-Hanna many times, especially the one in Dallas, servers don't even care to talk to you. The only time i see them is when i order and when i get my check that's it! I also I've been to Hibachi 2007, also located in Arlington, service there is extremely horrible. I had to wait almost TWO HOURS to get my food at that place, while at Hibachi 97, it only takes them about 15 minutes.
Last but not least, the part that probably most people interested in is their "BUY ONE GET ONE FREE DINNER". And yes! They offer that while other places don't! You can pick any items from #6 to #18 on the menu from SUNDAY TO THURSDAY. and get one FREE. Talking about this, it's upset me greatly when i see people abuse this great offer. The coupon particularly stated clearly the day and time it is applicable, I don't understand how people CANNOT read that. Also many people would come in and eat for free, and leave nothing for tips at all. I happened to see many upset expressions of the servers who work there. It's sadden me to see how inconsiderate those people are. And yes! If you are those peole who eat and don't tip, Please think again whether your actions is acceptable or not! These kids work based on tips. Without the tips, how are they able to pay for college and such?
Anyway, though this review is long, this is all i want to say and tell everyone who interested in dining in this restaurant! COME AND CHECK IT OUT!
OH WE HAVE BEEN THERE SEVERAL TIMES AND ARE ALWAYS PLEASED WITH THE FOOD. YOU GET A LOT TO EAT FOR A VERY GOOD PRICE. WE WILL KEEP COMING BACK THANKS ALOT SHIRLEY
