Food was all right. Pretty standard and bargan prices. We ordered delivery. My girl cut into her calzone and it was stuffed with ricotta and almost no mozz. We called back to have it corrected. The self proclaimed owner, Hysen, said if she was dissatisfied that was her problem. He was the owner and the buck stops here. I guess he was offended because he aparently made it himself. Thanks for your stellar customer service!
No, they're not Lombardi's, nor were meant to be. For one thing, they can't get the water that makes the NYC pies so wonderful. But they do quite well with the materials available to them. Both their pizzas and their sandwiches are very delicious. I used to eat at the Dairy Queen when I lived in town and have to say this place is a vast improvement.
I'm from NY and know NY pizza. Nizza Pizza comes close, but it's not the real thing. It is one of the better pizza places around if you want good pizza, but not the most authentic. A true slice of pizza should be able to be folded. When I folded this slice the dough cracked. Pizza dough should never be that hard. Also, I ordered sausage on my pizza and got Jimmy Dean sausage... that's not NY pizza!!!! Yes, I know down south there is the "sausage" vs. "Italian sausage", but if real New Yorkers are making it, Italian sausage is the only sausage. It may have been an off day so I'm willing to try again, but I think Joe's on Arkansas is better. I wouldn't go out of my way for Nizza Pizza.
