The owner, Rober Platt, was was very helpful and was able to find several books I had been searching since last year. His selection is far beyond what I have found in any other book store in the North Texas Area. The political memberabilia was really impressive with several campaign buttons and photos I had not seen anywhere else. This store is definitely worth the trip even if you drive 60 miles, I certainly was for me and I am going back in a couple days for a few more, the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere in the Historic Stockyards was more impressive than I had thought and the "Longhorn Cattle Drive" reenactment was definitely worth the drive just for that as well as the "Historical Walking Tour" of the Stockyards and I will never forget how organized that place was to competely process and ship out over 1,100 cows a day not including any of the pigs, horses, mules, goats or sheep. I didn't have time to ride that 1996 Vintage Steam Engine train but if I had more time, I would have gone for a ride, I can assure you, it is so neat.
