A fun swing/ballroom club in Fort Worth!: Southside Preservation Hall (aka Swing Castle) is a one of a kind place. From the outside it doesn't look like anything special, but once inside you are taken back in time to the 40's, when big-band jazz and swing music was the norm. The decorations and ambiance fit it perfectly, making it quite an experience to behold. It is clean, covered with lights, a big dance floor, plenty of tables, a popcorn cart and a stage for the singer and the band to play. Tuesdays for only $4 you can come and have swing/ballroom lessons. The instructors are kind and people of all ages come, some single, some couples some families. It's quite a deal because after the lesson they open the floor up to dancing for the rest of the night. However, what is the best deal of all is First Fridays. The first Friday of every month, for $10, you get dancing from 8PM-Midnight, complete with a live big band and jazz singer. It's so much fun! It is also a B.Y.O.B. (Bring your own beer, or beverage), so you bring your own drinks, though there is also a bar there to buy drinks from. People dress like the era. Guys wear fedoras, suspenders and spat shoes, girls were cocktail dresses, sailor pants and white shoes. It's fun to see. People of all ages come, from 16 year olds to 80 year olds, and all have fun together. If you are looking for something fun to do, take yourself, your honey or your family to Swing Castle and dance the night away!

Totally Swingin': This is a great, clean place. Every Tuesday there are swing dance lessons for $4! It's cheap, and a lot of fun. The instructers are amazing, and everyone there is there to learn to swing. Families go, couples go, it's a great experience for everyone.
