| About: | This long time Fort Worth tradition began as a grocery store and meat market in 1946. But today Kincaid's is known for its excellent burgers. The casual eatery, complete with picnic tables and a stand-up counter, is a popular choice by families and business people. Menu options include a variety of juicy burgers, as well as home-style meals such as chicken and dumplings and chicken fried steak. Banana pudding and homemade cookies are favorite choices for dessert. Credit cards are not accepted, but there is an ATM machine inside. |

At one time this was the best Burger place in Fort Worth. Unfortunately the owners of Kincaidâs started expanding and the quality at the original location suffered. Instead of hiring capable managers the daughters and Son In Laws are running this historic venue and you can taste it.
The food is really really small for a huge price.
the bread is bad.. Like Mcdonalds buns.
French fries are the frozen crinkle cuts like the kind you can make at home. Way to much money for such a small amount.
Sodas are SUPER small for the high price.
I ate there once because everyone in town says.. oh you have to eat there.. the MEAT is the only redeeming thing about the place.
Every thing else about the place sucks. The decore is kinda lame.. lots of blown up beach toys and old photos of things in fort worth. I give it a grade of C for AVERAGE.. dull nothing worth seeing.
For the price you pay for a small meal at Kincaids you can get a huge amount of food at Red Hots and Blues which has a lot better food and a lot better service too. and a much better looking resturant with fun music and a nice crew of wait staff
I would personally avoid the place. I also would suggest The Purple cow. Its great too.
If you have a press pass from the star telegram, both red hots and blues and purple cow are the places to go and you get the discount as well.
Good burgers and Lee Harvey Oswald dined there. To bad the jews and yuppies who think they are gods gift the Camp Bowie area had to triple the rent and charge them 8% on the profits

it's historical and it is good - not a fancy place and it doesn't pretend to be. If you want big and cheap - stick with McDonalds it sounds right down your alley
Better yet try Chubby's Burger Shack on HWY 80 across from Oreily's Auto. This is the best burger place on the west side. Hands down. Try it and you will see.
