We decided to have Christmas dinner at Ol' South Pancake House for the first time this year. The food was well prepared and good. Sasha our waiter was gitty with cheer and made sure we were taken care of. This place was an unexpected visit that turned out better than our expectations. At the end of our meal we were informed that our neighboring patrons behind us had paid for our dinner. One gift that holds the true meaning of Christmas will be a lasting memory and one of the best gifts. Service was at it's peak and with continuous smiles.
I went here and had a great experience. Way better than sickening I hop mentioned above. The "Dutch babies" were delicious and my waitress squeezed fresh lemon juice over my plate at the table.
Where do I start? The service was awful only to be out done by the food. We ordered an appetizer of fried pickles waited about 20 to 25 minutes for them, only to have the wrong appetizer served to us. We canceled the order of appetizers and waited for our food which came minutes later only to find that our orders were incomplete there was suppose to be pancakes with an order and toast with another they were missing no big deal so I thought, I asked our waitress about them she said they would be right out true enough the pancakes came out 5 minutes later but my toast was still missing in action. I waited for an additional 15 minutes for my toast to be delivered, I'm sorry but it doesn't take that long to make toast . Mind you this was not a busy time at the restaurant there was actually employees standing around doing nothing and the cooks which we could see from our table were standing around laughing. The food is another story , lets just say pancakes are suppose to be light and fluffy not like eating a leather pouch. I've had bad service and bad food before at a restaurant but never at the same time, lucky me. So as you my gather I would NOT and will NOT recommend this place for a fine dining or not so fine dining experience.
