The atmosphere at this Southlake location was great. People are friendly and it's very clean. However, the food was awful! Starting from the chips and salsa to the dinner. The chips had absolutely no salt on it. The Kelley's dip tasted like melted velvetta cheese. The ground beef was very greasy. I ordered, like I do on many occasions elsewhere, the chili rellano dinner. Everywhere else is battered and deep fried. This one was not. And it was a raw pepper. It was so loaded with melted cheese that you had to tear the cheese apart to find the small pieces of meat. On top of this raw pepper was a red sauce that tasted like they opened a can of tomato sauce and just dumped it. There was no flavor at all. My husband ordered the Chimichanga and had the same sauce. They did remake his with a different sauce but the few pieces of meat were settled on a larger nest of onions. The management and staff were very accommodating but it just didn't help the taste. We eat out at least 4 days a week and I have to say, this was the worst place I have ever eaten. Taco Bell had more flavor and better food than here.
This is my new favorite place for fajita's since El Fenix stopped serving them on a sizzling platter. The one's here are definately sizzling and delicious. Plus you get them the way you want them. I order mine well done, and they definately are. The other menu choices I have tried here have been excellent as well. Great!
STAY AWAY!!! I went here last night to grab a quick couple of meals to go. I spoke with the owner, and he suggested the Poblano a la Parrilla. I explained that I had stomach cancer and can not have anything spicy. He assured me the dish would not be spicy at all, and I did ask him 3 times. I ordered that and the Taco Salad. I was suprised that they charged $4. for a bottled beer! I also asked if the Yucatan slaw had mayonaise, and the girl that took my order at the To Go counter assured me that it did not. I asked her what was in it, and she went to the back, came back out, told me it had carrots and other stuff that she could not remember. What a dummy!! And FYI, it does have mayonaise. YUCK! When I got home with the food, I took a big bite of the pepper, and it burned my mouth and stomach. I spent the next 20 minutes throwing up. What fun!! Then I called and spoke with Alejandro, the Manager, and he said there was nothing he could do. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY!! I am shocked that there were people waiting to be seated in this high priced artsy fartsy tex-mex joint with bad service and even worse food!! I won't be back, and I have told everyone I know about my bad experience! They do not even have an email address on their website for comments or complaints. That speaks volumes by itself! If they were not concerned with complaints, they would easily accept emails!

I'm sorry you have health issues that require you to govern your food choices. That being as it may, why in the world would you risk Tex-Mex with your health issues? Your review, and your dining choices, given your stomach cancer, don't make a whole lot of sense. I'm very allergic to milk products and it would seem silly for me to give a bad review to an ice-cream shop for the vanilla cone I ate that put me face down in the toilet afterward. I'm more apt to believe the other reviews.
