| About: | Located in Sundance Square, Mi Cocina offers traditional Mexican favorites, as well as a variety of seafood entrees. The decor exudes the charm of small adobe hut just outside of Monterrey, with rustic wood tables and chairs scattered about the dining room. The outside patio is much more festive and is an excellent place to enjoy your meal when the weather is nice. It is usually crowded at lunch with business people and tourists. The menu includes a variety of standard Tex-Mex fare including enchiladas, tacos and burritos. There are also excellent shrimp entrees, including shrimp fajitas and grilled shrimp. |

Well I have always loved Mi Cocina restaurant! I've never had a bad experience there and even though I always order the same meal "for which I can't help it I love it" it's always goooood!
There is always a long wait, but that's because everybody wants to go there because it's sooo cool! I like the dim lighting inside but if your not into that u can sit outside too. It's just a live and social place, I just enjoy this restaurant so much. -

My 70-yr old mom and her sisters took their brother out for dinner there (behind Whole Foods on I-30) last night, and she had a horrible experience. The waitress was rude and very nasty, making them feel uncomfortable, and charged them gratuity for over 8 people when they only had 7 people in their group! They were made to wait forever to order, and were made to feel bad when it was too cold for them. When they did leave a tip afte they brought her mistake to her attention, the waitress rudely gave back the tip - stating "looks like you need it more than I do!" Shame on the waitress for treating the elderly this way!
