A good trip to take with the family!: We had such a blast, how can I not recommend it to everyone? It has something for everyone, man, just check it out!
Peace in the City: If you just want to relax and forget the world, it's easy to do with a stroll through the gardens; especially the Japanese Garden.
Great place all year: Whether you want to enjoy a picnic in the summer, or read a book in the winter, the botanical gardens is well kept and is always beautiful. This year I actually went to do a lot of photography which in my opinion turned out wonderful. It was great to see the chinese wisteria in bloom and it smells wonderful. I've had a few picnics here and it's a great, quiet environment, which is why it's also great if you feel like enjoying a book. If you're one that's into taking in the beauty of the surroundings like me, there's a bench, over by the pond, by the small bridge across from the willow tree. I have to say that is probably my favorite place to sit. The Japanese Garden Festival is also a lot of fun, but is usually only for one weekend. So if you need a place to somewhat escape for a little while, the botanical gardens is a great, quiet and subtle environment.
