Always get great service. They kept my VERY OLD craftsman mower working great. I bought my new snapper from them and have been very satisfied with it. As a woman, I need someone I can depend on to service the mower and not charge an arm & leg to do so. They give my mower a thorough check up every year and it works great throughout the season. I have been doing my own lawn for 35 years and I have had my share of not so reputable mower repair persons but I recommend AB to everyone.
I've been to A&B several times over the years, and I have yet to be disappointed with the products and services I recieve from this shop. I run Snapper mowers and Stihl handheld products as a commercial user, and I like knowing that A&B stocks all the belts, bearings, filters, etc that I have to replace from time to time.
They even have (or can order) hard-to-find Wisconsin-Robin engine parts. Thanks to A&B, I can get what I need to keep my Robin 2-stroke Snapper mowers running at their best.
The only piece of equipment that A&B's service department couldn't fix (in the several years that I've been doing business there) was my back-up Kubota walk-behind mower. It was working fine until somebody on my crew used it one day, ran over something, and broke the starter rope in the subsequent struggle to get it going again.
Although the mower was at least 15 years old, (and still in good shape) when I brought it to A&B to have a new starter rope installed, the vigilant technician who worked on the mower noticed that it had a bent crankshaft. A bent crankshaft can break and send pieces flying in every direction. Also, even if I chose to run the engine as-is, the resulting vibration would have gradually shaken the mower apart.
A&B, therefore, refused to fix this Kubota mower, due to the dangerous nature of the damage it sustained. I appreciate their honesty, and of course understand the liability issue caused by the bent crank. Sometimes one just has to move on to a newer (and safer) machine. I will say that the Snapper mower I bought as a replacement for the Kubota is still running strong. Way to go, guys!! I'll be back soon.
