About:True Bavarian charm resides at this unlikely location in west Fort Worth. The decor is "Bavarian Chalet," with dark wood accents complementing brick and beige stucco walls. A bandstand located in the center of the dining area features a small dance floor for those who enjoy polka; children and adults often crowd the floor to participate in the chicken dance. A reservation is generally required to obtain a table anywhere close to the action, but dining reservations are not otherwise required. Entertainment starts at 6:30p Sunday-Friday and at 7p on Saturdays. The hearty platters of schnitzel, fried potatoes, sauerbraten and wurst are authentic. Most entrees are accompanied with combinations of tart red cabbage, tangy sauerkraut or delicate, mouthwatering spaetzle dumplings. A small wine list adequately complements the cuisine, although emphasis is on the large selection of domestic and imported beer available on tap.

Yea! We have found Helga at the Edelweiss German Restaurant in Fort Worth! We visited her tent for years when she played at the State Fair of Texas and other Octoberfest celebrations around Texas. Great to see she is carrying on the tradition of German musik at this popular restaurant. Good food, good spirits and Great musik can be found at the Edelwiss! Prosit!

I have been there before and liked it, but we have a friend in from out of state so I called to make reservations(suggested)I was told they don't make reservations for groups of less than 8. I explained my situation and she said if you come by 5:00 you might not have to wait. Yeah thats not happening.
So if you want reservations say it's for 8 and claim your guest stood you up. The service failed before we even got there! We are going to Del Friscos they took our reservation.
